Johanna Szin

Hi I'm Johanna! My husband, David, and I are honored to be leading a family homeschooling Life Group together. We have been married for 16 years and have had the blessing and privilege of raising two boys, Jakob (10) & Zakary (8). We started attending Rocky Peak in the year 2019 and our journey with the Lord has deepened and grown in ways we didn’t even imagine. David also leads a men’s group, and I (Johanna) have been a part of Life Groups as well Flourish for the past 3 years. The Lord has placed ministry, kingdom work and growing in understanding of our identities on our hearts in every area of our lives. As our kids got older, we desired to have our boys navigate learning, spiritual growth and character building in more intimate a purposeful way. This is why last year we had started full time homeschooling which has been the greatest and most challenging year of our lives. Our hearts desire is to bring families together to pursue Jesus as a unit and as a community and for our children to see and understand what it looks like to live life together in truth and vulnerability.

Hi! I’m Chinue Black, proud to be the wife of Nick and mama of Mariah, Lincoln & Jada. I am a passionate worshipper and enjoy watching God work in amazing ways every day! I believe in coming as you are, and making the space for God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit to meet you right there- in the brokenness, weakness & vulnerability of what truly is. I love pajamas, music, coffee, baking, movies and the unmatchable combination of peanut butter & chocolate! Together, Nick & I are passionate about partnering with God to cultivate a family that is united in and fueled by Him. We’re excited to do that in community with this new life group.
