Jim Pugh

My name Jim Pugh and I have a 26 year old daughter and a 22 year old son. I was married for 20 years and have been divorced for almost 10 years now. I like playing golf when I have the time and enjoy scenic drives. I work for an electrical construction company and have a demanding job. My passion is rebuilding streets. I have been going to rocky peak for almost 10 years now and passionately love my church. I have been a Christian my entire life but due to hardship and hard times i was forced to surrender 100% to the lord about 10 years ago and this past 2 years is when I have transformed to Christ’s image more than ever. I have been going to a RP life group for about 8 years now and my leaders grabbed me and held me during and after my painful divorce. God put them in my life to hold me up when I had nothing left. Because of my experience I had a voice tell me over and over that I need to help others learn how to grab on to the lord and transform to the image of Christ. I listened to the voice and pursued to learn how to lead. My life group leaders helped me and encouraged me to take the step to be a life group leader. They encouraged me to talk and prepare segments to talk to the group until I felt confident. My job was / is very demanding and I did not have the flexibility or time to lead a group. I accepted a new job about 18 months ago and it gave me more flexibility. About 18 months ago my leaders stepped down and I decided to take over pert of the group to lead by myself. I am now on my 3rd quarter of leading and I would not change it for the world. My group is so amazing and we are like family. I am not a bible theologian and lead my heart keeping the group very authentic and vulnerable. Our group has definitely transformed towards Christ image this past quarter because of our vulnerability and authenticity. Leading this group has kept me accountable and forces me to spend time with the spirit to prepare. I have had tremendous growth and the spirit has for sure met me. Hi! My name is Debbie, and I have been a member of Rocky Peak for 23 years. I have 3 grown children, that I raised on my own. They are all married now and I have one granddaughter- so far! I have been a Kindergarten teacher for 22 years. I have been involved in many different areas at church throughout the years. I love seeing people grow and connect with each other and with Jesus in Life Groups!
